Not sure what to say?

Worked with Doug for many years. He is missed.

I remember growing up I always used to watch Doug Oliver doing the weather every night on Channel 8's old ' This Day" nescasts, in fact, I remember a lot of the old guard there during those days, Ray Wilson, Bob Regan, Harold Keen, Lyle Bond, Mel knoepp, Bob Dale, and of course, Doug Oliver. Thye were all a big part of my childhood, and now, they're gone. RIP, Doug, and thanks for all you've done over the years, and thanks for being a part of my coming up, on TV, that is! PAUL WILLIAMS

My dad, Bob Regan, worked with your dad at channel eight
for a number of years. When my father passed away in 2007 your dad came to his service at Fort Rosecrans and spoke eloquently of him. In 2009 my late mother celebrated her 90th birthday and your dad drove up to Aviara to be at her surprise party. One of the best memories of him I have is when I married in 1967, our best man wore such a large size shoe that he couldn't find a pair of dress shoes to fit him...your dad came to the...

It was such a pleasure working with Doug at the KFMB stations. I treasure our chats from when I'd wander over from the radio side. Even after his retirement as neighbors in Talmadge, we'd ofen wave. I'll always associate him with that pale green Datsun 510.

I remember Doug from his TV days. but didn't get to know him as a musician until he was in his early 80s.

He played piano with small combo in nursing home gigs organized by Louise Tabler. His piano style was superbly unique. He made everyone in the group sound better and inspired them to play
better. The best I've EVER played the trumpet, trombone, and tenors sax was when Doug backed me on the piano (though I was mentioned as bassist[which I am most of the time] in Caroline...

I remember watching Doug do the weather, brings back some wonderful memories.

KFMB-TV news was the "only game in town" during my childhood. I have fond memories of "visiting" with Mr. Oliver, Harold Keen, and Ray Wilson for so many years. We were truly fortunate to have them as the hometown news team. My sincere condolences to the Oliver family.

As a native San Diegan, I always enjoyed Doug. One of the great ones.
RIP and God bless you

Bless you Doug. RIP.
