Not sure what to say?

Doug my friend, I will never forget you. From the Studio KAFE, to Jazzfest to the Crows, all the way to the KRSH you loved the scene, your beautiful wife Tina and the community you were so involved with.

My deepest sympathy to Tina, Bill and Lavonna and their families, and the radio station for their tremendous loss.

The music will heal our sorrows,
The memories can make me smile.
But no one can replace you,
I guess we'll see you in a while....

My Dear Doug,
I am so sorry that we will never hear your uplifting voice again. My daughter who is 6 enjoys your morning show, and your silly lines that you come up with. I will miss your voice and your insight. Thank you for being a huge part of my morning, of our mornings. May you find peace and happiness and continue to entertain the hell out of them wherever you are. Our hearts and love go to your wife and family.
Merry Blessings

Really sad. Just really, really sad about this tragedy. It's such an enormous loss to lose him, and I want his family and friends to know that so many, many people are going to miss this fine, wonderful man. Doug added so much to everyone's day. He was a really special guy. I'm completely brokenhearted :-(

Doug I will miss you. Talking to you and listening to you great morning show. Your great glee when you stump us with your trivia. Your putting up with ziggy, (and you had to crash into a vineyard - Jeezzz!) Playing golf badly with you. Seeing the fine shows you and bill produced. And the great beer. Rest in peace brother, you were one of a kind.

I'm heartbroken, and I'd never even met him. Doug was my favorite DJ -- funny, smart, insightful, passionate about music and life in Sonoma County. He touched so many people and shared so much with us. He made me laugh every morning, I loved his show, and I will miss him. My prayers go out his family and his many, many friends.

My morning drive to work will not be the same without the mellow, warm voice of Doug Smith and his commentary ~ there is a big hole in the heart of the KRSH family listeners.

I will miss my morning ride to work with Doug. He was such an interesting personality and his show was a treat to enjoy. Doug always sounded like he loved his job, his voice always had a smile in it.

I didn't really know Doug other than as a companion via the air waves in the morning, but I feel like I've lost a good friend just the same. His great sense of music, community, and humor will be greatly missed. I did get a chance to meet Doug one night after the Thursday night market through a mutual friend and Doug was as great in person as he came across on the air.
It will be a lonely ride down the freeway every morning from now on.

I didn't know Doug, but I wanted the family and friends to know how much it hurts to hear that a talented young rider was taken, as a 'new' rider myself, I understand the freedomof riding, God Bless
