I was happy to consider Doug a friend for many years. Knew his 2 older brothers well. We were all ymca rats back in the day. Doug truly was a class guy and never heard a negative word about him. One story I enjoy telling about him involved a golf match at the Saginaw Country Club. Our foursome included my father-in-law who was Doug’s partner for the day.
