Not sure what to say?

Words cannot desribe how we feel about Doug's passing. He was a great friend to Mike for many years and I met him when Mike asked him to be a member of our wedding party. We will always have the pictures and video to keep our memories alive. God be with you, Molly and Matt as you continue with your daily lives. Doug is watching over you and will keep you safe until you all can be together again. God Bless!

Cindy, Molly & Matt,

Your family is in my thoughts and prayers. I will never forget the great times he gave to us girls on the Stray Cats.

Dear Cindy Molly & Matt
Doug is only away..though he may not be with you the memories stay and whenever you look in your heart he'll be there. All my love to you Deb & Lisa Swisher

Dear Don, Donna, Rick, and Liz

Life flies past a lot quicker than we want or realize. Back when we were neighbors in ‘flood city’, none of us would have ever thought that any of us would be contacting each other because of the death of one of our kids. You guys have been in our thoughts many times through the years and I’m sorry for not taking the extra effort to keep in touch. You guys must have kept on being a good family to have made Doug the guy he turned out to be. The...

Dear Cindy and family,

You’ve never had the opportunity to meet us, but we were neighbors with Doug in Palmyra when he was a youngster. We just found out today (Apr 30) of Doug’s passing and I felt we needed to let you know that we feel your sorrow and pain, but God can help us through it. I read through the writings in his memorial book and just from what the people wrote, I can say I am proud that I knew him back then. He must have grown up to be a very special husband, dad, coach,...

Cindy, Molly & Matt,

We were so saddened to hear about Doug. It's been quite a few years since he coached Erika on the Stray Cats, but we remember what a great coach and inspiration he was to all the girls. May God surround you with his love at this difficult time and may you find comfort in your many loving memories of him. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

With Deepest Sympathy,

Pete, Barb, Erika & Ty Vanderstappen

Aunt Cindy, Molly & Matt
My heart goes out to each of you. My uncle was a great man (Superman) to me & will never be forgotten. I'm so sorry for each of you. I know how much fun he was to be around. I can remember back when I was a kid and uncle Doug would pick me up to stay the weekend with him. They where the best times for me as a kid. Like the week I got to spend with him in Ohio & camping. And the time me him Larry & Grandpa took the camper to man I don't even remember where we...
