I'm so sorry to hear about this. I knew Doug at Montgomery College and then at Maryland. He was a gentle kind person and I will always remember his friendship.

I have known Doug since 1993 through a former job. Doug was one of the nicest people I ever met. Quiet and friendly, calm and smart. He was probably the smartest engineer I knew. I would go to him with questions to figure out things that I couldn't. He was very religious and lived that way too. He was very involved in Camp Sonshine youth ministries in Montgomery County Maryland, and was dedicated to helping children and friends. I will miss you Doug. I know that if there are tractors and horses in heaven, you will be a happy man. I will miss the roadside chats on Alligator Ranch. I will never forget you my friend. Moose.
