Not sure what to say?

Doug was the best friend I've ever had, and the only man who has ever felt like a brother to me. He felt the same toward me and we acknowledged it early in our friendship, which began at work and continued for 15+ years. I had the pleasure of getting to know his mother and have gotten to know his wife and his last two dogs as well, and I love them. He was gracious to allow me to live in his childhood home for 11 months, just one of the many times and ways he had my back. We took a road trip...

Will miss one of the people who ALWAYS had my back in his Battlemech for the last 12 years. See you in Valhalla . Ted

Really enjoyed working for Doug. Always of good conversation & fun to be around you will be missed.

There is not a memory of all of our time visiting Michigan that does not include Doug. We had several adventures on the mill pond(Lake Marion). Doug and I, would take the boats up the river to sandy banks. He always was fun, quick wit and kept us laughing. Doug would open his home to my family when we went up to Marion. My kids always enjoyed going to Marion and Doug was a big reason why. We will miss you.

Doug was like another brother to me. My parents, originally from Michigan, would take us up to Marion every summer to visit Grandma Blackledge and my mom´s sisters Minnie, Jeanne and Shari. I remember Doug, my brother Kevin and I having many adventures around the mill pond.
