Not sure what to say?

Doug, my great friend -- we just today received word of your father's death, being out of country since February 1st.
It breaks our hearts to know what you and your family have been experiencing, the exreme sadness of your loss.
Reading the comments from those who knew this special man, it is obvious that Dr. Appleby was one of a kind, a true professional person and wonderful individual.
To have him in your life for so many years was a true blessing.
Our prayers and love are with...

To all of Dr Appleby's family I am sorry to hear of Dr Appleby's passing. I have a lot of good memories growing up with all of you and will miss him. My family and I will hold you in our prayers.

Dr. Appleby saved my life with 2 surgeries due to a ruptured appendix when I was in fifth grade. I am now 31 and healthy with two scars... my family and I are forever greatful. His bedside manner could not be matched... a true kind soul and master of medicine, he will be truly missed. My condolences to his family... TJW

Terri, my thoughts and prayers are with you during this time. I lost my dad just over a month ago and I know first hand the pain you feel. My heart goes out to you and your entire family. You won't recognize my married name, but I am Sandra Human who worked with you at Duke Power. Take care and hold onto the wonderful memories you have of your dad.
