Douglas Atwill

I own just one of Douglas´s wonderful paintings which I love and had the pleasure to participate in one or two of his dinner parties in one of his garden homes. He was a lovely man and will be missed.

A life well lived. May you live in interesting times. Doug did and made the most of it.

Doug was one of my first clients when I opened my permit expediting and Planning business in Santa Fe. We assisted him in obtaining approvals for his beautiful homes. I loved working with him. I will miss him dearly. Condolences to his family.

Watching the clouds and the sunrise today and thinking about Doug. He found joy in the simple things. He embraced the beauty of God's creation around him-flowers, trees, hills, and mountains-and when his sight was failing he found beauty in what he could see-sunlight through the clouds. His architecture and living spaces also reflected simplicity and light.
