Not sure what to say?

I had been away from Virginia for 22 years. I wanted to try and contact Doug for advice, so I looked on Google for him. You could have knocked me over with a feather when his obituary was the first thing that popped up! Doug was a friend of my old boss (Jerry Hardee). Doug was such a kind man! He helped me out on a case against an insurance company and filed the paperwork for me. He never charged me anything. I'll never forget his kindness. My thoughts and prayers are with his...

I have only just heard of your loss, and I am so very sad for you all--Doug's mom was a dear friend of our family in Williamsburg, and we heard often of Learned and Doug. Our deepest sympathies are with you all--your entire family. Blessings and prayers from Northern Virginia

My mom recently informed me of this loss. I was the first nanny for Davis. Never met you Logan. But swang by and your mom let me peak at you and your dad sleeping an afternoon nap. For both of you and Mary Dale I can only imagine the vast space left in your lives. Doug Barry is one of the most respectable people that I have ever known. This really is unbelievable. I'm very sad, and begging for peace and laughter to blanket over your hearts...till you see him and hold him again. My prayers and...

Thinking of you at this time. It's been a while since I sat in front of you at First Baptist, but you and the family will be in my thoughts.
