Happy Birthday Doug!

Two years ago, I lost an outstanding boss, fantastic mentor, and great friend. I have so many great memories of the time we were able to spend together. Pat, Comet, Lindsay, Joe, and Jackson are always in my thoughts. As we move forward into another year, I'll think of you often and strive to always do my best...

Happy Birthday Doug!

Your impact on many of us still remains since we have seen you last. We have thought of you often and miss you. Can't help but think you had something to do with the recent championship seasons of the Red Sox and Celtics. The Patriots were so close to pulling off the remarkable championship trifecta of your beloved New England professional sports teams. Funny how this was comforting to see these teams do so well...........We will continue to keep tabs on Pat,...

There are so many great things that can be said about Doug and so many memories that express his passion for his family, friends and work. My work day often began with a “Good morning, Doug” and ended with a “See you tomorrow, Doug.” and in between were hours of racing to finish the, “to do list.” Doug made that work day enjoyable and most days fairly entertaining. He was someone you looked forward to seeing every day. And whose presence is missed.

I hold dear the simply things...

To all of Doug's family, I'm so sorry to hear of his passing. He was my age, and much to young to leave this earth. Try to take comfort in all the good that he did throughout his life.

Beard Family -

My deepest sympathies go out to you. I had the privilege of knowing Doug while I was a student athlete at UW-Stout (88-90). Then, consequently, I transferred the same year to UWM as Doug did. After graduating I would see Doug at different get togethers, usually through Dave Rubino. He was a great guy and although I had lost touch with him after his move to Madison I still considered Doug a friend. I'm very sorry for your loss, but take comfort in the positive...

Dear Althea, Ron, his wife and family,

I was so sorry to hear of Doug's death. As I think about Doug, it brings back fond memories of our many summers working together at Spicer's Galley in Cape Porpoise, Maine. My father (Stike) was so very fond of Doug and would have been devastated to hear this very sad news. I can remember when Doug was born and what a big event it was to have twins born into our community (that was unusual in those days). He began his life in a special way, and...

To the Beard Family,

Please accept my most heartfelt sympathy on Doug's passing. My name is Cynthia Vomvoris and Doug was an usher in my brother, Peter Tsitsos', wedding in 1981 in Cape Porpoise, Maine.

My family and I will never forget Doug's compassion when he learned of my brother's also untimely death. He took the time to fly to Virginia to be with my sister-in-law, Karen, during a memorial tribute for Peter. Needless to say that touched us all very deeply and it meant...

Pat, Lindsey and the Beard family,

I was shocked and deeply saddened to hear of Doug's passing. My late husband, Peter Tsitsos, and Doug were good friends and worked together at Spicer's Galley in Cape Porpoise for many years. We saw Doug and Peter spoke with him by phone occasionally after leaving Maine but as distance will do, we unfortunately lost touch.

When Peter died 3 years ago, I had a memorial service for him in New Market, Virginia, where we were residing. I will...
