Not sure what to say?

I worked with Doug on several complicated title cases. He was a great guy to work with and very knowledgeable on title issues. I'm sorry to see that he has passed away.

Can't believe it's been a year. Doug, know you are up in the heavens chatting it up with all the scholars and hero's you studied, I can only imagine the conversation you and Mark Twain are having! Quite possibly you are calculating the meets and bounds of heaven in your spare time. Still miss you, and sending love and prayers to your family who I know misses you more.

My condolences to Doug Borcherts family and friends. Doug was an awesome mentor and friend to me. He always had something witty to say and helped me grow both personally and professionally. I will miss our lunches and conversations. Godspeed Doug!
your friend,
Mark

To Doug's family - he was a legacy in the industry, an inspiration and mentor to so many, and a dear friend that shared the same birthday as me so we celebrated every year via a phone call or a lengthy and funny email exchange. He loved his family and always cared about mine. In the 44 years I've been in the title industry I knew Doug over 40 of those years. I have never met a more articulate, intelligent and "can do" peer in my industry. He helped me close countless complicated...

I was a friend and colleague with Doug for 32 years. He was always helpful and solution oriented to us here in Sacramento. He always ended every phone call with a funny, or historical story to keep things light and in perspective. He made Fidelity National Title and The Title industry better through his skillful work. Doug had a lot of friends and admirers, and I was fortunate to be one of them. I will miss him.

I Am so heart broken. I worked with Doug at Fidelity National Title. He was a mentor of mine and taught me well. I attribute my success to his teachings. He was a gentleman and a scholar. I will miss him dearly.

It was a pleasure to work with Mr. Borchert as an expert witness and I was hoping to retain his services again. Was shocked to learn of his untimely death from this virus...Hopefully, the virus will not spread to his family.

Some of us reconnected with Doug after he retired and he joined us for lunch a few times. We are all sorry and miss him. This picture was taken at Christmas in 2018 after he retired. With Doug are 1961 CK McClatchy friends Barbara Furgason, Lynda Vandenburg/McCutcheon, Alexandra Perkocha, Diane Denison, and Genevieve Gallegos/Lisher
