Not sure what to say?

I owe Doug my start in organizational research. For my master's thesis at MIT, under Dave Berlew, I was using the AT&T MPS data from three of the operating companies. I remember Doug's visit to MIT, along with Richard Campbell, to plan our analysis, and they were extremely cordial and welcoming to this novice scholar. I'll never forget Doug's kindness and generosity, along with his high expectations and standards.

Doug's contribution to the field of I/O Psychology was a major one and affected many of us. In addition, he was a fine, warm person. We owe much to him. My condolences to Ann and his family.

My condolences to Anne and his family. Doug was not only a leader in our field but a kind and generous person.

Doug's Management Progress Study provided my first experience with organizational research. He was always extremely generous with the data and with his comments and suggestions on our papers. This experience was a key factor in my decision to go on for a Ph. D. and to conduct an academic career. Doug is a real giant in the field of I/O Psychology, and his passing is a huge loss. My deepest condolences to Ann and the other members of his family.
