Not sure what to say?

We were so very sad to hear only today of Doug's passing. Bob and I worked with Doug, volunteering with the Kennebunkport Conservation Trust as trail stewards, for many years. He was a talented, kind and witty man and we so enjoyed working with him and sharing his love of the outdoors. We crossed paths on the trails during the pandemic and he recommended "52 with a View" to take our minds off the pandemic. He broadened our horizons. He will be missed.

Deepest condolences on your loss; our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.

Jeanne, Doug was the ultimate team player. Always ready to pitch in and/or take over on the tough assignments. A roll model for many who worked with him. My condolences, Bob Manocchia [Gilbane]

May my step Father Rest in Peace We lost touch way back but that will never change the fact that You raised me...The first shoe I tied was your boot...You brought us on Canoe adventures down the Mississippi river...You gave all of us kids Wonderful Christmas's...All holidays were a joy...You knew all the latest tech advances...While all my friends got Atari video games you bought us a Texas Computer and told me to design a game (that was before '83) . Geez I wish I listened to you...I Love...

God bless you and your family during this difficult time.

Jeanne, Please accept our condolences on your tragic loss. It´s hard to imagine Doug resting, but may he do so in peace. Susan & Tom Boak

I first met Doug on a few Over the Hill Hikers outings in 2021, but then on a great many hikes this past year. We were close in age and in hiking speed, so we spent quite a bit of time together on the trails. I'll think of him when I'm out there, sorry that he's gone, but glad for the good hikes together. Here is a photo of Doug atop South Twin Mtn, in the middle of the Pemigewasset Wilderness.

I worked with Doug for many years at Gilbane, and he was a wealth of knowledge and our go-to person for our corporate department. It was a pleasure to have him as a colleague. I did not know he was an Army Ranger -- and I thank him for his service. I am not surprised to find this out knowing his leadership style. Please accept my deepest condolences - what a treasure he was.

I worked with Doug on the Lutheran Medical Center in Lacrosse Wisconsin and the University of Chicago Medical Center $80 m new hospital project in Chicago in the early `80s . Doug was one of the finest engineers and project managers in our companies history . His attention to detail was commented on by many who worked with him . I will add him to my prayers . Tom jr
