To Doug's Family, Julie, and Children, During a visit to state college I learned of your loss. I have many fond memories of Doug when he first met Julie when we were all in school together at PSU. I'm sorry for your loss. - Margaret

Doug was such a kind soul. He was really a spectacular person. My sincere thoughts and prayers are with his family. May God bless you with his comfort and healing in these difficult times.

Dear Mrs. Christie,
I had the pleasure of knowing Doug in the 1980s when he and I both worked at the Athlete's Foot store at South Hills Village.
I, like everyone else, immediately took to Doug because he was a truly nice, honest, and upstanding guy.
I can truthfully say that I thought of Doug many times over the years, and I can still see his smile and hear his chuckle.

Not only did Doug always have a smile on his face but you couldn't help but smile and laugh right along with him. I have memories that will last a lifetime of a friend that meant a lot to me.

Oh my. I am so sorry to hear about Doug. We've been playing phone tag since Christmas and I guess that phone call will never get completed. Doug was a caring and thoughtful man who was proud of his children and tried his best to help those around him.I know him from his early years at Falcon Camp and while we lost touch over our adult years, in the past several years we had reconnected and I enjoyed our conversations. Best thoughts and prayers to all of Doug's family from all of us at Falcon.
