Douglas George Christopher

I knew Doug from our days at Auburn and were fraternity brothers. We had some great times at the old Theta Chi house and wonder how we survied and graduted and Doug went on to med school. I had recently play golf with Doug and got to rehash some of the war stories. He did have a passion for golf. Ralph and Sally, you have my condolence.

Dr Christopher treated my aunt for cancer years ago. He helped her in so many ways. She had no insurance and his help was really appreciated by her as well as the family. She was very independent and his assistance helped her to remain that way almost until her death. Our family will never forget him. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.

Doug & I were best friends the last few years we were in high school together. We baled hay in his family farm fields, put it in the barn, dove hunted, quail hunted, double dated together, and had the best times of our early years together. Touch ( yeah right - unless you were involved in the Ralph/Doug brotherly love contests ) football in their front yard - whiffle ball home run contests were legendary. Doug and I grew up together and were very good friends during our childhood days. I regret not staying in closer contact, but I always ask Ralph about him when I would return to Guin. I have many fond (and fun) memories of our youth together. He will be missed
