Not sure what to say?

To the Clark Family and Friends,
I only heard about Doug's passing today(Tuesday), and was very upset that I missed his memorial service. I got to know Doug when we taught together at Northdale back in the late 70's and we had kept in touch over the years as he coached soccer and I coached tennis at Anoka. He was dedicated to his teaching and his sport and I'll miss him.

To the entire family,
Many people have spoken about Mr Clark as the soccer coach, my story is different. I was a student of Mr Clark's and enjoyed every minute in
his class. Mr Clark , as I will always refer to him, was the only
teacher who made school engaging, he was the only teacher who cared
enough to help students be successful. I stayed in school because of Mr Clark.

I saw him a few times after I graduated and even though he said I could call him Doug, to me, it was...

Doug,

The currents of grief that I feel from learning of your passing are themselves surpassed by the deeper gratitude I have toward you for all that you have given to me through coaching, soccer, and friendship.

I have seen your legacy: the children of your former players themselves now playing. This comes from the seeds that you planted in over 20 years of coaching.

How much I wanted you to coach my kids!

My heart-felt condolences to your family.

Pat and family,
I’m sorry to hear of your loss and want you to know that you are in my prayers.

With love,
Jason Handberg

Dear Family of Doug. We are very sorry to hear of your loss. Our family will keep you and Doug in our thoughts and prayers. Doug was the first soccer coach I met when I moved here to Minnesota and he was also my wife's high school coach. He will be missed greatly.

The Arrowsmith Family

Dear Family of Doug,
We are so sorry for your loss, and will keep you and Doug in our prayers. We last saw Doug in August, when he came all the way out to Cottage Grove to help us celebrate 25 years of coaching girls soccer. He was a very special person, and we will miss him greatly. May he eternally rest in the arms of God.

Doug was a wonderful man and someone that cared for his friends and family deeply. To say that Doug loved soccer it such an understatement! Doug will be missed and our thoughts and prayers are with you Pat and Paula as well as with all of the his other loved ones.
Sincerely,
Nichole, Kelley, TJ & Kylie Scott

Doug: We will miss your voice and sharing our faith with you. As we move forward, we will carry your memory with us when we sing. You brought joy to our lives and we will not forget you. Peace to you and your family always.

Patrick and family,
We are so sorry to hear of your father's passing. He was a wonderful man and will be missed greatly by all. If there is anything we can do for you please let us know. We are always here for you.

With our love and deepest sympathy~
