Not sure what to say?

We met in grade school and Doug was a softspoken youngster with a sheepish grin. As we grew up, just a stone´s throw away from each other´s home, that calm, cool and confident young man with a huge heart gave way to a tough, hardnosed competitor on the court. All the games played, places visited, and people we met along the way are so vast to list herein; however, they will become the topic of many celebrations when we are with friends. What I most admired about my friend is that he was a...

I knew Doug from tennis team. He was a strong competitor, and always the nicest person to be around; that combination of qualities is rare. He will be missed.

When I think of Doug Curry, the word that comes to mind is smooth. We played tennis on the same team, but he was playing a different game than me. He glided across the courts of tennis and basketball. You didn´t think he was going to get to the ball, and all of a sudden you realized the ball was coming across the net for the win! Doug was a class act. Always a gentleman. God bless you & your family, Mike. Ted Oatts.

I remember Doug as a very friendly human being.....may jesus christ take him into his open arms and be with him forever........

Oh Mike, I'm deeply sorry to hear of Doug 's passing. May our God comfort you and your family on this journey of loss. Blessings my friend

Bless you, Doug, Warrior of 1969, always a decent and kind classmate. I loved to watch you make basketball an incredible dance of strength and beauty. You seemed to make every sport you played look so smooth. My prayers for your loved ones and eternal light and peace for you.

Wayne's Doug Curry posssessed a heart that was bigger than a basketball. Gone... but never forgotten. Rest in peace, #20.

Doug was #20 in the program... and #1 in the hearts of the Wayne Warrior fans!

He wasn't even aware that I existed, but Doug was my all-time hero and role model when I was growing up. I was orphaned at an early age, and hoops was my refuge and salvation. Every kid who carried around a basketball in Huber Heights wanted to be like Doug Curry. Brownlee, Staley, Trimble, Frank... every last one of us. He was an incredible defender, and an unselfish team player. He led Wayne to an unheard record at the tme of 28-13 in his junior and senior years at Wayne, and my Uncle...
