Condolences to the Dechairo family. I am Dan Calac and I serve the tribes in San Diego North County. I feel part of Dr. Dechairo's legacy and am proud to carry on his shadow. He was a great man and a kind doctor

I'd like to add my heartfelt condolences to Dr. Dechairo's family and loved ones. Dr. Dechairo was my youngest child's pediatrician from birth till he retired and moved back to Kansas. I owe him my eternal gratitude; because my son is still with me. There never has been or ever will be a more compassionate, skilled and caring doctor as Dr. Dechairo was. My heart goes out to all who's life this great man touched.

Jim joins me in sending sincere sympathies to you. We are so sorry to hear of Doug's passing. Friends since 1984. We shared so much together at Palomar Hospital Medical Staff Services, PPHN and of course, our mutual love of KU Jayhawks and Girard (SE), Kansas, including our KS families. I have enjoyed so many wonderful laughs and good times with this energetic guy. My best to his family, esp. Bryan and Daphne. You now have wonderful memories to share. Cherish them always. Our...

Sitting in his waiting room for the first time, I saw all his KU memorabilia. We had a long chat about KU, Manhattan, KU Med School. Couldn't wait to get down the hill from Valley Center to call my mom. He and my mom, Carol Floersch became good friends, sharing stories of KU and her property in Flush, KS.

Offering my deepest condolences to the family at this very difficult time. At 1 Corinthians 15:26, there's a promise for a future without death. May God give you peace and strength to endure this tough time.

Lucy,
Karin and I are very saddened by Doug's passing. He was an exceptional person who loved life and made the world a much brighter place for those of us who had the pleasure of knowing him. Your family, friends, and acquaintances will always have wonderful memories of Doug.
