Not sure what to say?

To the Ely family,

I too recall Douglas as a precocious and promising boy, and as an endearing young bridegroom. Your terrible loss is a loss to us all. He will be sorely missed. May you be comforted by his memory and his legacy.

Gil

Dear Ely Family,

I am just crushed. Doug and I and a few other kids used to take the bus and then the metro to high school together every morning when we lived in Rome, and I have very fond memories of him and Caroline and Lydia. To all my dear Ely's...

I am so deeply saddened by your loss. Douglas was a fine man and I search in vain any words that will express the extent of my sympathies. The sadness is almost too much to bear. You are all in my thoughts and prayers and I wish you all swiftly healing and peaceful hearts. Love Cindy,Adam and Lindsey.

I was deeply saddened to hear of Douglas' death. He was truly loved by my family, although I knew him only briefly. My grandparents always regarded him as their 'third child,' and I know that he will live on in the memory of the people who had the great fortune to know him well. I offer my deepest condolences to his family, and pray for their recovery from his loss.

May god bless the family.

My prayers are with the family.
God bless all of you

Dear Elys,

My heart aches for you all.

Douglas will forever live in my memory as the intensely bright, quietly determined, and very sweet young boy I first knew in Mogadiscio. I hope you find lasting comfort in one another and in your own wealth of memories.

I send my love to you all.

Judy

My prayers and thoughts go out to the entire Ely family. -With Love.

Dearest Caroline & The Family ELY.
Hold tight to each other and remember His LOVE forever.
