Just learned of Doug´s passing. Doug always made us laugh. We enjoyed his kind nature and friendship. Our sincere condolences to Judy& family. The ladies at Yeager Jewelers.

To the Ely family and friends, Deepest sympathy and prayers for all. Doug's service to Malachi House touched many. May your fond memories of him bring you peace and healing.

I got to know Doug through his volunteer work at Malachi House. He was a wonderful person to be around. He had a big heart and a beautiful smile. He often spoke fondly his wife and family. Thank you Doug for your courageous service to our country! May he rest in peace. My condolences to his family.

I met Doug several years ago. He was always sure to ask of my son in the "Chair Force" every time we would encounter each other. I will miss our conversations. My condolences to his family.

As a fellow retired Army Officer, I know that Doug supported his family and several veterans organizations. In particular he initiated and provided seed money for the Military Officers Association of America's, Cleveland Chapter, Junior ROTC scholarship program over 25 years ago and it still is providing support for deserving JROTC cadets in the Cleveland area. Condolences to his family

I remember Doug when he was court personnel, and then when he assisted an attorney. My condolences to his family, friends, and former colleagues.

Thank you for your very brave service to our country ! God bless you

I'm sorry to the Ely family. I hadn't known Doug for too many years, but I really enjoyed our lunches together. And I was honored that he took an interest in my brother and I after our father passed away.
