DOUGLAS FARRINGTON, age 44 years, of Delta, PA died on Monday, August 23, 2010 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center. He was the husband of Stacey L. (Hundley) Farrington. Born on October 25, 1965 in Woodbury, New Jersey, he was the son of Thomas J. Farrington of Delta, PA and the late Betty D. Hanna Farrington. Doug was employed by the Aberdeen Proving Ground Fire Department as a fire inspector. He was the current president of the Delta Cardiff V.F.C. and had also served as treasurer, Captain and Lieutenant. Doug was active with the DABSY where he had served as president. He was currently serving as the chairman of the Mason-Dixon Fair, an office he had held for the past 25 years. He was also an active member of the Whiteford V. F.C. and had worked with the Baltimore Ravens Grounds Crew at the M & T Bank Stadium. He is also survived by: Three children- Kyle Russell Hinton Hebbel of Delta, PA Matthew Douglas Farrington of Tampa, FL Kelsey Lynn Farrington, also of Delta Siblings- Darlene B. Ader and her husband, Donnie of Delta, PA Dale Litherland of Harrisburg, PA Diane Hilsmeier, Marlene Rice and Rick Farrington, all of Delta Patricia Farrington of Atlantic City, NJ Denise Hale of Princeton NJ Jeffrey Farrington of Mt. Laurel, NJ His step-mother, Joyce Davis Farrington, also of Delta Many loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas John Farrington, Jr. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 26, 2010 from 3:00 – 8:30 PM at the Delta Cardiff Fire House, 500 Main Street, Delta, Pennsylvania with a Memorial Service at 8:30 PM. Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 27th at 2:00 PM at the Mason-Dixon Fairgrounds, 6988 Delta, Road, Delta, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Kelsey L. Farrington Trust Fund, c/o PNC Bank, 2334 Rock Spring Road, Forest Hill, MD 21050 or to the Mason-Dixon Fair Association, c/o Debbie Seling, PO Box 10, Delta, PA 17314
