Not sure what to say?

Dear Lucia - I was saddened to hear of Dougs passing. Love the photo you and the boys selected - it really is Doug to me - Kind, loving, funny and caring - someone you wanted to spend time with. Frank and I enjoyed years of golfing & dining at BHCC and AAGOC & Greenhills events with you both as our kids grew. 60 years of memories is amazing but even with Alzheimers he was still a presence and such a part of your live. I`ll miss him but as with Frank - his smile and wry sense of humor...

My condolences to Lucia and the family. Doug was on the Board of HelpSource and was very helpful to me when I became the Executive Director.

We met Doug shortly after we returned to Ann Arbor in 1986. It was a pleasure to serve with him on committees at Huron High School and the Ann Arbor Educational Foundation. Doug was a great example of how to serve selflessly. His warm personality and leadership skills were truly memorable. He was very proud of his family and supported everything they did. It was fun to see him cheering in the stands for his sons and grandchildren. He will be missed by all who counted him as a friend. With...

I had the pleasure of working with Doug as his Executive Assistant and FOA-Ann Arbor. He was an amazing man and mentor to me. Always encouraging me to go the extra mile and continue to advance my career at the bank. I still treasure all the "Thank You" notes he gave me with his kind words and encouragement! I am sending my thoughts and prayers to you Lucia and to his children and grandchildren!

Doug was an excellent banker and community leader for First of America in Ann Arbor. My condolences to his family.

To Lucia and family, George joins me in extending our deepest sympathy. I first met Doug when I was honored to be a member of the Board of First America Bank. I recall his outstanding leadership during that time. We enjoyed our many lunches with you and Doug in Arizona and were very sorry when you were no longer able to travel here. We will continue to cherish our friendship and keep is memory in our hearts.

Single Memorial Tree

Dear Lucia and family, One could not ask for better neighbors than Doug and Lucia. We had many conversations outside between our houses as well as times spent together. Conversations were always interesting. Doug made so many contributions to Ann Arbor organizations. He was a true citizen. We are sorry we are out of town and will be unable to attend his memorial but we will be there in spirit and will raise a toast in his name . With love, Pat and J Chapman
