We just found out about Doug’s passing. We’ll hoist a Ritual in his memory. Remembering peeling from a 1/2 ounce to a 1 1/2 ounce storm spinnaker when a storm fell out of the sky on a night time run back from South Sound. An amazing helmsman. God Speed.

It was our pleasure to have known Doug Fryer as the husband and fellow sailor to Karen. We met Doug during the years when Karen worked as Comptroller at Dunlap Towing Co. We remember Doug as devoted to raising his grandsons, a gracious host, an interesting conversationalist with many exciting adventures to tell, a voracious reader and a devoted husband to Karen. We wish we had known him better. Our love and warmest thoughts go out to Karen. Stay well dear Karen.
