Not sure what to say?

Doug, I do not know where to begin but first and foremost, my thoughts go out to your family and your sister, Ann, as you spoke of her so often to me. My prayers are with all and wish i could have met Ann. It surely sounds like you and she were so very close and was there for each other. I know that when we first met at the Restaurant in your town, it was so nice. Memories we shared from 2008. It was sometimes hard for me to get here but i made it and glad you came back with me when you...

Doug, Over the last 25+ years we had our ups and downs, but our love and friendship never left us.If anything it grew. You will always be my best friend and I'll always love you. I'm going to miss our weekly phone conversations and meeting you at Buckeys for a beer. When you left you took a part of me with you and I will miss you until we meet again. My Love to you always, Twila

My Dearest Doug,

How many times do I wake up at night to snuggle with you...only to realize that the bed is cold?
How many times do I look out the window to see what car you're working on...only to find you're not there?
How many times do I look at our chickens...only to realize you won't ever feed them again?
How many times do I think about raising the pigs...only to know I have to do it by myself?
How many times do I look at my phone...thinking...

We were so sorry to hear of your loss. The thoughts of many are with you at this time of sorrow.

My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort.

YOU MADE JOKES EVEN DURING THE DAYS YOU WERE VERY SICK; I WILL ALWAYS ADMIRE YOUR STRENGH AND COURAGE,I'LL MISS YOUR SMILE AND THE WAY YOU TOUCHED SO MANY PEOPLE IN OUR LIFES. I WISH YOU A GREAT SENSE OF PEACE,AND MAY YOU FIND OUR LOVED ONES BEYOND LIFE ON EARTH! I LOVE YOU VERY MUCH...

I started hanging with Doug in grade school, back when girls still had cooties. It wasn’t long before we got past that concept. I can’t begin to tell of all the things Doug has taught me through the years; as a youngster - girls, cars, and camping come immediately to mind. And as we matured - he taught me loyalty to family and friends. Physical distance over the last 30 years has limited contact. But every few years we easily met and picked up where we had left off. While the telephone...
