Douglas "Doug" Goree, 60, passed away Wednesday, May 26, 2004, at his home in Everman, surrounded by his loving family, after a lengthy battle with cancer.
Funeral: 3 p.m. Sunday, Moore Funeral Home, Bowen Road Chapel, 4216 S. Bowen Road. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home....

Doug was a "Manager's Special". He serviced his Hostess Cake customers with pride. You never had to ask Doug to do something ... because it had already been done. I will miss my Friend here on earth but I know he will live forever in a greater place. Im sure that Doug and my Pop will have many stories to share.
I hope the people that worked alongside Doug learned many good values and ethics that he had.
I was very lucky to be able to talk to my Friend on Sat. before he passed....
