Not sure what to say?

It says a lot about his amazing grace that I think of him frequently even though I met him so recently. The flowers I brought home from his garden bloom this time of year.

Doug was a good brother. I will miss him. We shared many good memories, too many to count. Clinical Reviews at Mayo with Kevin, tied to the mast traveling the rough seas with Captain Norm, eating Chinese food with Dave, lumberjacks at the cottage, building backyard waterfalls, “unbelievable” wood splitting with Splitter Bill etc

Doug was my dear friend, co-worker, personal physician and former Family Practice Residency Classmate. We shared many leisure experiences as well as work experiences over the past 20 years. I will miss Doug greatly.

Doug was a kind, gentle and compassionate man. My husband was one of his partners starting back at Medical Arts and fondly remembers him as affirming and very approachable, caring about the whole person. When I would stop at the clinic over the lunch hour and catch Doug's eye he would motion me into his office to show me the latest picture of his kids (whom he adored) or some artwork. He was a wonderful and focused listener making you feel as if what you had to say was the most important...

Doug had such a beautiful spirit, was such a beautiful, generous, caring soul! What a gift it is to be able to make others feel uplifted and happy just through being in your presence! He would smile, laugh, share, and care - lighting a smile within you, and bringing joy to your own heart. What a gift he has been, and is! Blessings to you Doug on your journey Home! You go with much love and adoration! Much Love, Anne Grant

Dr. Grant was a caring doctor who truly did look out for the best interests of his patients. He was our family doctor for several years until insurance changes. May he rest in peace.

We had the great privilege of having Doug be a part of our greater family. In part because Allison (his daughter) and Eric (our son) are married and have two wonderful children that we all adore, but also through our love of games, especially Bridge, that we shared virtually just three days before he died.

He was always one to say, 'go team' when we did something right in Bridge. I think this spirit motivated his work as a doctor, as a father and grandfather, and as a man of great...

Beautifully written!
And what a blessing to have known him.
Wishing comfort to all.

We were blessed to call Dr. Grant our GP for many years....until our insurance changed which meant we had to change. He was one of the most caring compassionate doctors we have ever had. We always enjoyed ‘running into him’ at restaurants or All Saints Church.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the family at this time. A wonderful man who will be missed.
