Not sure what to say?

Clemmie was a good friend from early childhood. Our fathers fished together and Clemmie and I played in the neighborhood where we both grew-up just 4 house apart. We had great times in winter sliding down the old round-house hill across the street from home. We worked on an old car together in his backyard when we were in high school and we were classmates in school. The last time I saw him was after we both completed military service and he stopped by my parent's home to visit. ...

Clemmie had such a voice, and a smile to go with it. He was a wonderful man with great talent. Loved him in the Checkmates, and Wilmer and the Dukes. Enjoyed just talking with him. May you rest in peace. We lost a great friend.

Doug's passing brought a flood of memories of our times together in the " Checkmates". I send my condolences to his family.

I remember Doug (Clem) singing on the our back porch when we were kids. We loved him much. Very talented. Prayers to family.

What talent and what a wonderful guy! I will always remember you fondly. May the happy memories you all shared, bring you peace and comfort in the days ahead. RIP "Clemie"...job well done!

Linda,
I will always remember our Wedding and you and Doug being our DJ, wanting to surprise my sister Marian (Reo) only to find out that when she was in Cdga a few weeks before that she had seen you at the restaurant where they stopped to eat. We all had such a good time that day and Mom loved seeing Doug again.
I am sure that both of my parents were there to meet him. We will miss him as we would think of him often. Such a great person.

He always called me Barbara---
He was a force to be reckoned with on the football field and a proud Vietnam vet.
He'll be missed by many.
My thoughts and prayers for his many close friends and family members.
I'm so very sorry for your loss.
Sincerely,
Mary Lee Fletcher
