Not sure what to say?

I'm saddened to hear of Doug's passing but honored and greatful to have known him. I worked with Doug for many years at Rockwood pharmacy. He was quite possibly the nicest person I've ever met. A positive light in our life. We miss you Doug.

I worked with Doug at Kaiser Permanente. He was a great pharmacist and a wonderful colleague. I will never forget his laugh. He could make all of us feel his joy! He was so generous with me. He bought MANY boxes of Girl Scout cookies from my daughter but never kept any of them. I remember shipping his cookies to military bases during the first gulf war. He also traded many shifts with me so that I could do activities with my children. Doug was special and the world is a better place because...

I just heard of Doug´s passing this morning and it was quite a shock. I don´t really know where to start relaying all the wonderful memories I have of Doug. I first got to know him many years ago working for Fred Meyer. Back in the day, pharmacists would answer the phone and Doug was always the first to pick up the receiver. This unselfish attitude really was a strong attribute that Doug professed. Doug always had positive things to say to people and he would always thank his coworkers at...

Rule#62 cards he would pass out at events when he attended' "Don't take yourself so seriously".

I worked with Doug for many years at Kaiser Permanente and there wasn´t a single day that he didn´t make me laugh or smile. Doug is one of the most positive humans I´ve had the pleasure to meet, and work with. I´ll always remember the new cars he would drive once his lease on his current car ended. He told me he enjoyed the cars for a bit and then he would trade it back and start enjoying a new one. I thought to myself, "how fun is that?!?!" I´m sure you´re making people happy and laughing...

I will miss Doug, seeing him for years and always receiving a warm, personal greeting. He was a leader and great example to me and many others. Eternal rest grant unto Doug, oh Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. Amen.

I met Doug in 1995, and like so many others, we instantly connected and have been friends ever since. Doug's ability to connect with everyone on an intellectual level was his gift. Of all of my friends, Doug had a deep wisdom that belied his years, and could be depended upon for sound advice and a good laugh.

Doug & his buffalo plaid shirt are forever in my heart. I sure do miss him.

You will be missed by many at the 6am ESSR meeting. Love you my friend.
