Not sure what to say?

I was saddened to hear of Doug's passing. I too have many fond memories of Doug at family gatherings. Also remember a number of trips to Orange Julius when it first opened in Modesto. On more than one occasion we easily had many more people in the car than we should have. I also remember a number of snipe hunts. Distance keeps me away from the service as it did when Josephine died. Josephine and I did a lot together in 4-H, including a joint demonstration. Prayer are with all of you at...

We look forward to a heavenly reunion with Uncle Doug! So glad to hear from Ben of the re-commitment to God and recognition of the Lord Jesus Christ's saving sacrifice for our sins. We hope God makes a point of keeping Doug's infectious, booming laugh intact! Much love to all family. We will continue to pray for you during this difficult time!

Sorry to hear of Doug's passing while we are vacationing in the desert. We've known his family many years, and send our deepest sympathy.

In November I sat with Doug in the old Frosty in Denair while I waited for my order to be readied. He told some good stories with memories of his childhood that were fun for me to hear and brought back memories of my own. He was full of stories that would have been fun to see in writing.
Roger and I want Doug's family to know we truly are sorry that you will be without this loving man in your lives. May you feel God beside you as you grieve.

Hake Family,
Doug was a wonderful man. Joel & I used to love to listen to his stories while the kids were working with the pigs. He had a wonderful laugh, & loved talking about his grandsons. He will be greatly missed by everyone in the Denair community. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you during this diffcult time.

Ben, I think you already have seen my note on Facebook. I also remember your dad's jokes; the good times also at Capay and Denair. Love, Clint

Ben and all the awake family. I will always remember cousin Doug for his laugh and hugs. He is one of a kind. Great memories at family gatherings and cruises to Turlock &Modesto. Love and prays to all.

I have many happy memories of cousin Doug and all the family gatherings at Leland and Margaret's house. Doug had a tremendous and powerful, resonant voice. I loved to hear him talk and laugh. He will be missed by family and friends.

Your Father will be greatly missed by the people who have grown up in this community. He was a second dad to me during our growing up together Ben. I'm so sorry that he has passed.
