Not sure what to say?

Doug (“Crane”) was a good friend. Sorry he is no longer with us.

Vicki,
I'm so sorry to learn that Doug has died. It's been years since we've been in touch but I still remember our days at Miami and your wedding.

I will always remember Doug as a smart, fun-loving friend. We met as freshmen in 1964 at Miami (Ohio) University and shared many adventures. Through them all Doug was always positive, encouraging, respectful and fun. He touched many people and will live on in their memory. I will be one and will always remember Doug, Vicki and all the good times we had together.

Doug was my uncle and he knew how to make me laugh. I remember when I was 9 he taught me how to ride a pony. It was a dream come true. He also loved games and competition and was a ping pong champ in our family! I was so touched to read all of your comments and prayers. Thank you! I will pass this on to my mom and my extended family.

To the Hanks family--

I have been at Citizens Bank/Civitas and now Fifth Third in Human Resources for 20 years. I fondly remember Doug as a person who always treated everyone with dignity and respect and was always smiling. Doug and I worked through several difficult situations together over the years and he was always very caring about those involved. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.

To Vicki & Family,
Vicki I worked in Human Resources at Citizens Bank, and have very fond memories of Doug. I can honestly say that I never saw Doug without a smile on his face, or a kind word for whoever was in his presence. He will be missed. I will keep you and your children in my prayers.

God bless,
Patricia Jackson

Doug was a wonderful and talented friend and business associate. He will be sorely missed.

To Vicki and the family,
I didn't know you personally but had the pleasure to work with Doug at Citizens Bank. His ability to make each person smile with his infectious smile says it all, he was a caring person. I'm sorry for the pain that you have in missing him.

I worked with Doug at Citizens Bank. Doug was always supportive of his fellow associates and had a positive outlook that motivated all he touched. I will never forget his first Hot Air Balloon ride in Effingham IL. What a great experience. My sympathy to his family and all who will miss him. Richard (Rick) Chambers
