I took Doug's last class at Iroquois back in 1983. He was a wonderful teacher and human being always being positive and a pleasure to be with. He convinced me to take AP Biology, learn to juggle and got me to take long rides on my bike. He by far, is the biggest reason I am in the teaching profession and hope to continue his legacy in the classroom.
