Not sure what to say?

Sheriff Harvey was a true friend with my father. The last I remember seeing him was at my mother´s viewing memorial in 1988. I happened to be standing at the head of the casket when he quietly walked in. He looked over at my as I had my uniform on from working a shift. He silently nodded then proceeded to quietly pay his respects to our mother and he then quietly left.

Dear Harvey Family, Steve and LaDonna VonHofe would like to express our deepest condolences to you for the passing of our dear cousin, Doug. I have very fond memories of Cousin Doug from when I was growing up. Even though he was much older than me, he was always very kind to me and my family. I was very proud of him when he became the sheriff; he was like a hero to me. I remember when my grandmother passed away; he made my day by putting me on one of the Sheriff's motorcycles with a helmet...

Very sorry for your loss. Thoughts and prayers are with you.

Thank you for your service Mr. Harvey

My sister, Sandy and I were in the Junior Deputies and Depettes. We grew up with the Harvey's and have many fond memories. My Dad, Kenneth was a member of the Washtenaw County Sheriffs Dept. Doug and Mike Harvey, Chester and Allan Wilson, my Dad and I including a few others went deer hunting up to Curtis, MI. We had a blast. Doug attended my father's funeral. Dad was proud to have Doug for a friend. Our condolences to the Harvey family. We are visiting our daughter and family in Colorado....
