Its been five years since Dougs sudden passing and not a single Great Sitkin reunion goes by that doesnt bring a tear or two to my eyes. To me he was the most gentlest of gentlemen and I will always keep him in my thoughts and prayers. Sail on Doug.

This man was loved by many because of his considerateness and kindness. Happy early birthday, my friend. Watch over Keith for me. He'll be coming shortly and could use a good friend and role model like you. I love you, my friend

Kathy and Jennifer: It's hard to understand why people are taken from us, but find comfort in knowing how well-loved your husband and father was to all of us that are part of the USS Great Sitkin Association. His laughter, friendliness, and even pranks will be greatly missed.
