Susan, when I saw Doug's obituary in the paper I was shocked. I had lost track of your family since I was about 12 when we moved from Early St. My family (Ed & Lou Powers & my sisters Peggy & Susie)used to live behind you in Savannah. Doug and I used to play together all the time. We built forts together, sold Kool-Aid popcicles at a stand we built, and got in all kinds of trouble together. Doug was a good friend of ours for over 20 years, and he was the kind of person that would do any thing for you. Many of times he would look after our place and our cat when we were out of town.Doug also loved his jokes,he was such a funny guy. He will be greatly missed.
