Not sure what to say?

It has been 10 years since my original entry into Doug's memory book and suring this time my wife Rose Ann passed away. It has been a lonely 10 years. It is nice to see Dougs name and be able to once again make note that I miss him and the good old days.

May God bless you and your family at this time of remembrance for your loss of Doug. I want you to know that Doug was that type of person that the people who worked with him will always remember his humor and easy going ways that he possessed.

My name is Jerry Sauer. I was a good Doug and his brother Donny. We all were part of a group of guys that hung out at the corner of 31st and Scott St. Most of us owned old cars in various states of repair. I am the last living member of that group. Doug was always a gentlemen and stood out from the group because of it.

I will never forget the night Doug and I attended a Packer game at the old brewer stadium with other coworkers from Pieper and we missed our group bus and we decided to walk back to your house in the rain so Doug could drive me back to get my car at the restaurant where we got on the chartered bus. I always enjoyed his good sense of humor besides his friendship and nothing ever seemed to stir him. I sympathize with you for Doug's unexpected passing after a 51 year marriage.

Susan, my sympathy goes out to you and your family for your loss . Doug was such a fine person.I knew Doug back at Pieper in the 60s and 70s and I always enjoyed working with Doug.

My Prayers to Jeannette and her family during this very difficult time. Your Dad was awesome and will be missed terribly

Sorry to hear of your loss. Enjoyed working with Doug at Pieper Electric in the early 70s.

I remember Doug when we were younger as I am his cousin and we spent holiday with our Grandmother. I was sorry to hear of his passing. My prayers are with Susie and all the kids at this difficult time.
