I just thought about Mr. Hoeft the other day. I was thinking of how he had instilled the love of history in me. He was the best teacher I ever had. I was in his history class at Elgin high school in 1966. He would tell such funny and interesting antidotes. I can still picture him today. Wishing I could have shared this with him before he passed.

I don't know you, Libby, or any of your children, yet I knew your husband many years ago. I went to Elgin High School, 1964-1967, and was fortunate enough to have him as my teacher (Social Studies, I believe).
