Not sure what to say?

Just received the hope magazine and saw Doogie passed away. Hev and I where like oil and water. But there was a bond. I graduated in 76 my brother Todd 78. I hardly agreed with Doug but always respected him. I am truly sorry for your loss and only wished I could of been there for his celebration of life. For he was truly a celebrity in my eyes! Kurt S. Richardson or as he called me KSR!

I know it is so hard to lose a great man, a great husband, a great father and a great friend, but God has gained an incredible angel that will watch down and protect all of you. I first met Doug when I was about 13 and I am now 61 my brother Ed and Doug were great friends and every time I talk to Ed he would give me an update on Doug ,Peggy and the daughters. my brother Eddie loved Doug `s family and in the late years he truly look forward to seeing Doug `s father every Sunday after church....

A wonderful brother-in-law. We considered ourselves the "out" laws. He will be truly missed by friends and family.

Dear Peggy and family, Sending prayers of comfort as you mourn the loss of your beloved husband and father. I knew Doug most of my life and he was a very special, loving, kind, generous and funny gentleman. May his memory be a blessing.

We´ve missed Doug and Peggy this past year in Estancia and had kept them in thoughts & prayers. They are both such a lovely couple and salt of the earth type of people. We are sorry for your loss of your Dad and comforted to know Peggy is being looked after. Our hearts are heavy for all of the family. They are both missed at Estancia. With love and sympathy, Chip & Judy Hummel

Dear Peggy, Julie, and Kristin, I'm so sorry to hear about Doug's death. He was a generous and very kind man - so glad I got to know him through Peggy. Many condolences.

Peggy and family - Linda & my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this sorrowful time. I had the privilege of knowing Doug since the mid 70´s. Spending time with Doug was always a joy. When you were with Doug he made the time always better - with his kindness, his humor, his ability to make people laugh and laugh at himself. He seemed to always have the right thing to say, at the right time. When meeting people he always tried to understand people first vs trying to be...

Doug was a mainstay in western Michigan within our industry and a valued customer and friend to our companies. Along with Peggy, Doug was much beloved. It is with much sadness in his passing. Live in peace, Doug. And our prayers are for Peggy and family.
