Not sure what to say?

I still think of Doug often. He was such a fantastic pharmacist and had a passion for his patients that was hard to match. He taught me so much about caring and going the extra mile, for that I will be eternally grateful, in gifts like that he will live on forever, and I think that would make him smile.

I am sorry to hear of the loss of Doug. I worked with him during early years as a pharmacist at Lakeland Hospital. While visiting the Lakeland facility on yesterday, I received the news of his passing, which just broke my heart. Doug was funny and great guy to work with. To the Hoover family, I am so sorry for this great loss and I will continue to keep you in my prayers.

I consider it a blessing to have had the opportunity to work in the pharmacy department at Blodgett with Doug. His standard of excellence will always be a constant reminder to me as well as a coping mechanism. Doug always made sure I knew he was there and had my back with any questions I had regarding patient care-it did not matter how busy he was, he was always there for others. As with many other families, Doug reviewed my fathers meds, when he was a patient at Blodgett on the ACE unit...

Dear Nicki and family--

It was an honor and privilege to be able to speak at the funeral. Thank you for the opportunity. I will always remember Doug's passion for excellence in his work, a standard for which we are all challenged to strive, as well his frequent three-word greetings, such as, "Duuude, Tigers, man."

I sense you are surrounded by a great support network but certainly feel free to contact us if there is anything we can do for you!

Our prayers for God's peace...

Our thoughts and prayers will forever be with you. We will always hold the memories of Doug very dear in our hearts. We will never forget how Doug cared for our Dad (Bunca) with dignity and respect when he was ill with cancer. Thank you Doug, you will never be forgotten. May you all find peace in the memories of his love.

My thoughts of sympathy and prayers for God's comfort to all of Doug's family and friends. I have worked at Blodgett with Doug for many years. He was always so personable, kind, and helpful with patients and co-workers. He will surely be missed, but never forgotten.

I am so sorry, Dough was like a son to me he just lit up a room when he came in. I will never forget all the good he did for me and Ken, I shall never forget.

Doug always had a smile and gentle kindness. He was always so helpful and patient. He will be greatly missed. God bless you, Doug and may wonderful memories help your family through this sad time.
