Not sure what to say?

I met Doug at Mayfair Bible Church. I am really surprised to learn that he passed at such a young age. I last saw him in 2006, and I am thankful for his judgement call made, regarding a bizarre situation, which will always be remembered by me. I know Doug is in heaven and he will be seen again, one day.

We just learned of Doug's passing. He was a GREAT Christian man who we remember as coach of our son's soccer team and the Chief of Police for Flushing Township. Our sympathy to Connie and the family.

Doug and I had such a fun time getting into trouble when dad took us to Florida. He would tell me that the alligators were going to eat me. He had a great laugh and loved to tease. We will see him again in a better place. So sorry for your loss.

My fondest memory of Doug was our 1st meeting. I had come to MI to meet his parents for the 1st time after his sister Pat and I were engaged. I was so nervous. Doug came to me basketball in hand and said lets shoot buckets. We went to the playground and played basketball for hrs. We both had so many blisters on our feet we could hardly walk. Made me really feel like a part of the family. Love you Doug, until we meet again.

Connie and family: You are in our prayers as you go through this difficult time. 3 "Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. 4 For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love 5 he predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will 6 to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely...

Your family is such a blessing! Sorry for your loss.

Sending so much love and many prayers. I always thought Doug was a great "kid". Someday I plan to see him again and get to know his whole family...it seems so far away now, but Jesus will come, and you'll all be together again. Wish I could be at his Celebration of Life. Love you all. Donna Dell

Doug was a incredibly nice and well-measured man, one that I will always remember as a good friend. I had the privilege of officiating basketball games with him, along with having nice conversations every time we bumped into each other. I have the utmost respect for Doug for the example he set in how he handled life in such a positive manner. My sympathies to Mrs. Kennedy, Brett, and Shaunda. He loved you dearly.

Kennedy family, so very sorry for your loss. Doug was great guy always there to lend a hand and offer helpful advice. I will never forget his kindness. My deepest sympathy, Laura Richardson
