Doug, you are our hero in our hearts.
In memory of Doug: It has been nearly two years since you left us and the pain and tears are with us still, as we try to get through each day. We never thought when you left home, you never would return. The shock was hard, the pain severe. We never thought your death was near. In Loving Memory, Mom, Dad, Denny, Karen, Brianna, Natalie, Jill, Rod, Devon, Megan, Britney, and all your loving family and friends.

Natalie, I'm really sorry to hear about your dad. He was a really good guy. You might remember me from Johnson Elementary, I sat at your table and we played together a lot at recess. Again very sorry and hope you and your family are doing well. Love Emily Paison.

Dear Karen, Brianna, and Natalie,
Our family is so sorry for your loss, of
your dear husband and father. Doug was
truly living the bible verse of John 15:13,"Greater love hath no man than
this, that he lay down his life for his
friends." He put his own life at risk
to try and save that of another. I am
praying for peace and comfort for your
family in the days ahead. It will not
always be easy, but God's strength
will be there to help...
