Not sure what to say?

Such a good person and willing to help.

I am in great admiration for the bonds you Langenfeld siblings have now and over the years!! I´m pleased to have the few pictures that remind me what a GREAT guy Doug was........

I miss you every day. Your quirks and sense of humor. Our breakfast get togethers. Love you always. Your sister.

I was just thinking of Doug yesterday as I cleaned my house and ran across a jewelry box he gave me when he was home on leave during the Vietnam crises. I am so glad to have this jewelry box from him. He was one of the kindest men I know.

My Brother Doug, There aren't the right words there...but we try. Doug is a kind and gentle soul. He was an artist, a baker, a cooke, a storyteller, a musician, a confidant, a lover of animals, an adventurer (Corn Palace climber!), a fisherman, and an older brother who cared so much for his family. He was also a father and a husband, and now a grandfather to the beautiful miss Opal. Doug, thank you for being a role model and an inspiration. You would chuckle if I said these words to you in...

I just found out about the death of Mr. Langenfeld. I am so sorry for your loss. I was a student of his at Valley Springs Elementary. I remember him as kind, patient, and talented; it takes a special kind of soul to teach elementary school. He will be missed.

Nancy and Hans, we were sorry to hear about Doug's passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. I will miss his keeping us in touch with happenings in our class at Notre Dame. We will miss him.

We are so sorry to hear of Dougs passing. I worked with Nancy at LSS for many years and got to know Doug. He painted me a couple of pictures that I will treasure always. God be with you Nancy and Hans.

Doug was the sweetest, kindest, most gentle sole I was lucky enough to know only slightly. My brother, Jim Hanno, was always one of Doug's closest friends. Your fortunate to have had Doug in your lives, he will be missed by many!
