It was with great sadness that I heard of Doug's death. He fought for his beliefs and backed down to no one. When memory takes me back to the Groundwood or the union hall Big Doug's image is always to the fore.

I enjoyed working with Doug during his time at the mill. Not to many dull moments when Doug was on sight. He was always there for the worker. Thinking of you and family sorry for your loss
