Dear dear Barbara and family, Just now I read about the passing of your beloved Doug and I send my deepest condolences . Peace to you in Niantic, love Harriet

Doug was a jolly friend and a successful and dedicated railroader. When we Grand Trunk Western railroaders were scattered far and wide as our Detroit HQ folded, I was pleased to know that Doug carried on in the industry. He´ll be missed. Condolences to Barbara and the family.

Very sorry to hear of Doug's passing. So happy I got to talk with him awhile at the Valley Railroad's 50th Anniversary get together. Doug was one of the most pleasant people that I ever have known - always a pleasure to talk with him.
