MacDONALD, Douglas John - Of Decatur, formerly of Flint, age 48, died Monday, February 23, 2009 in Indiana. Funeral service will be held 12Noon, Saturday, February 28, 2009 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Jim Reid officiating. Burial in Bear Creek Cemetery in Sarnia, Ontario. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to the family. Visitation 4PM-8PM Friday and 10AM until the time of the service at the funeral home. Doug was born in Flint on June 25, 1960. Doug loved to make people laugh, loved music, his '65 Chevy Truck and was an all time U of M (Go Blue) and Red Wings Fan. Surviving are sons, Kristopher, Lance, Derek, Luke and D.J.; daughter, Kristy; father, Stanley "Mac" MacDonald; granddaughter, Aniyah; significant other, Shelly; brother, Don (Sherri) MacDonald of Sault Ste. Marie; sisters, Deborah (Danny) Orr of Tennessee, Donna and fiancé Kurt; lifelong friend, Wes Benning; Shelly's parents, John and Phyllis Hebble; many nieces and nephews; and his dog, Pubbo. Doug, What can I say??? The tears keep flowing and you took a piece of my heart with you. You were my baby brother and I just can't wrap my brain around this! No matter what...it will ALWAYS be the 4 of us! You will always be with us in spirit! You are a GREAT brother and nothing will ever change that! This pain is indescribable and I HATE it! Don't worry though Don, Donna and I will always look out for Dad! Give Mom, Mike and the rest of the fam a BIG kiss from us!
