Not sure what to say?

Janie McCormick Hogan and her family send their sympathies to the whole family. Chip was a terrific head master at DA while Annie was there and we so wish we were up in Wilmington to express our love and concern for everyone. Such a brilliant kind and loving man

Sympathy and condolence to the family and friends.
My wife, Dorothy Diver Thoms and I were friends and patients of Dr. MacKelcan and Dr. Shellenberg.

What a loss at so young an age! I remember well Chip's leadership during the transition at Colombus Academy from a single sex school to a coeducational school. He embraced not only gender diversity, but racial, ethnic, and cultural diversity as well. I am grateful for all he gave to the education of so many. My thoughts and prayers are with his family during the days, months, and years ahead.

Debbie, Doug and Matt,
Andy, Missy and I are all deeply saddened by Chip's untimely death. He was a man of intellect, energy and commitment, but, most of all, he was a man of integrity and compassion. It was my privilege to work with Chip in his first position as a Head of School. He made a remarkable contribution to Louisville Collegiate, and his gifts are still paying dividends. He will be missed by all who knew him. I will always have fond memories of Andy and Doug growing up...

Ed and I are so sorry. We thought Chip was a wonderful headmaster at Collegiate, and our son Charles enjoyed his friendship with Matt. Cathy Stopher

Chip, I will miss and love you always. You are a hero of great magnitude to myself and many others. A mentor, father, scholar, athlete, and all around great guy that I will forever look up to. Debbie, Matt and Doug are testaments to what a great father and husband you were... Truly a blessed and inspirational man who always led by example, listened, and found the good in all. You will in our hearts and memories forever. Thank you for everything and thank you for giving me the gift of 2 older...

Chip will be remembered in the wonderful spirit he displayed to all of us and carried through his life as a classmate and a friend. He honored the best in all people and served a role as a leader and a guide to young people as they grew to be responsible and valued adults. We had the gift of his life and the loss of him should never be overshadowed by his valuable gifts to all of us.

From the Petrone family, sad condolences on the loss of Chip. Our families go 'way back' to Mt. Pleasant days, and we were always patients of Dr. MacKelcan. Thinking of your family at this sad time.

Love, Kit Petrone and Susan Petrone Scurria

In our hearts forever. Love to all.
