Not sure what to say?

I just learned of Mr. MacLean's departure when trying to reconnect as the editor of a publication called FinOps Report. I had the privilege of working on articles with Mr MacLean while an editor at a previous firm. He was always so detailed and helpful. I cannot express how saddened I am by his loss. My deepest condolences to his family, friends and other loved ones. Chris Kentouris in New York

As I think of the passing of my first true friend I am saddened. Doug was a great person. I met Douglas in kindergarten. He was a good friend and very smart. I remember him playing the sax in a grade school talent show. We had some good laughs but most important we shared memories. Although years past we did not talk or communicate I will forever remember my first friend in Danvers and the scholar who led by example and stayed humble throughout his life. Peace be with your family my friend....

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

My sincere condolences to the MacLean family. I just recently learned of Doug's passing. Doug and I were classmates in law school, and Doug was one of my favorite people in law school. Doug was such a positive person and made my time there all the more enjoyable. He was passionate about running marathons and would relay his stories of the training and details of the runs themselves, and I always wondered why he put himself through the rigors of the marathon when he could barely walk...

Dear McLean family., I was so deeply saddened to hear today of Doug's passing. The last conversation I had with him was after the birth of the twins and he told me how happy he was and what a wonderful wife and children he had and how much joy he had discovered with all of you. He was such a wonderful friend to me in New York City and I will be forever grateful that he was in my life. It is impossible to comprehend your loss and I hope that you are all doing as well as you can. My most...

I was a client of Doug's for the past 3 years and had some wonderful conversations with him over that time. He and I probably spent as much time joking as we did discussing legal opinions. I was planning on seeing him this spring and am crestfallen to hear the news. His memory will forever live with me and please accept my deepest condolences.

Please accept our heartfelt condolences.

Hadley and family.
I am sorry to hear about Doug's passing early this month! I enjoyed seeing you Doug & your kids looking at the float while it was being built. My heart goes out to all of you!

Doug brought energy to everyone who ever met him. Some of my most memorable moments from Harvard--and many of the years following college--were enlivened by Doug's quick laugh and enthusiasm for cheerful, unforgettable action. From Harvard Entrepreneurs (and his t-shirt empire) to his days running Armor (and his sellout seminars), Doug was birthed with a founder's spirit and a restlessness for creating value. He will inspire me forever.
