Doug was one of my favorite coworkers in the Genealogy & Local History Department. He was an amazing librarian - talented, knowledgeable, and loved sharing what he knew (which was a lot!) without making you feel stupid. He always brought in sweets for the department on his Saturday shifts. Once he learned I was vegan (and couldn’t eat said sweets), he started bringing in fruit on Saturdays, too.
