Not sure what to say?

Received the Spring 2023 copy of Fort Schuyler and saw the announcement of the passing of Doug McKay, '80. Doug passing is a real shock. Doug roomed across from me in our MUG year. I think the first or second day that we had moved in my door was open, a radio was playing and this guy across the way, yelled BRUCE!!!!!, barged in, and cranked the radio up all the way. A Pink Floyd fan this was my very first introduction to Springstein and Doug McKay. Doug was a force of nature. He ACED...

I had the privilege to work with Doug over the years. Not only was he talented and dedicated, a creative problem-solver, he always took some of his own time to check in on how everyone and their families were doing. I am not surprised to hear what a great family man and friend he was, and how treasured he was in the community. I will be making a donation to the Glioblastoma Foundation and will also ask that Doug be remembered in a Father´s Day Novena of Masses. May God Bless and comfort you all.

I am very saddened to hear of Doug's passing. He was a wonderful person and beloved colleague. He will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Deepest condolences to your family. I have made a donation to the Glioblastoma Foundation per your family's wishes. Much comfort to you during this difficult time.

Please accept our deepest condolences. We loved Doug from the moment we met him and will miss him dearly. Hopefully his love for life and family will live on for you. We will keep him in our prayers.

I first met Doug during one of our NYS Utility Claim Manager's Association meetings in Lake George, NY. Doug gave a great presentation to the group and, afterwards, the "golfers" of the group gathered together for a "quick 9 holes" of golf (more like loads of laughs, ribbing each other and sharing good times). I remember Doug being a great and funny story teller. My sincere condolences to the McKay family. God's blessings and strength be with you. Chuck Stewart, NYSEG Corp. (retired),...

Worked with Doug for many years at Consolidated Edison. He made work meaningful. My condolences to the family. RIP

It was a privilege knowing and working with Doug through the years as part of the AEGIS task force. I will miss his warmth and wit immensely and I am very saddened by the loss of such a stellar individual and I will miss him greatly.
