But I remember him vividly and have often thought of him. He was a true gentleman of the old school -- intelligent, gentle, and kind.

To Doug's Family and Friends..
I was privileged enough to work with Doug 25 years ago at NU in the System Communications Dept. His wit and ever-present smile will always stay with me. Especially the time he counted how many pauses one of our officer's made during a presentation to our Department. Doug was fearless! My sincere condolences to you all.. you were fortunate to have had him in your lives.

I just learned of Doug's death and am sorry that I missed his funeral. Doug and I worked together for many years at Northeast Utilities. He was a real gentleman and friend to all, and respected by all. I will pass along his obituary to his co-workers in the Corporate Communications Dept. at NU.`
