Not sure what to say?

Uncle Doug is still fondly in my thoughts and memories. I remember our letters of correspondence and miss his kindnesses to my family and me. May God bless the entire Nicol family. Margaret Loder (Peggy)

As the years pass and we return to life's routine, I am still reminded of the pride I have always felt
about being part of the Nicol family. I know Uncle Doug felt similarly. He labored over finding out more about our history. In my letter writing to Uncle Doug, he told me about his work researching our Scottish background and other family members. If there is any of his hard work and research still in any of the Nicol's possession, I would love a simple copy, no matter how rough. It is...

Again I fondly think back on my Uncle Doug. He was such a proud member of the Nicol family and was always so kind to me. His pride in the Nicol legacy clearly showed his love of the family. The times he visited NJ, plus our regular letters were very important to me. I think of the Nicol clan a lot lately and I miss Uncle Doug.

I am Uncle Doug's sister Margaret's daughter. What I remember the most about Uncle Doug and family was that in visiting us in New Jersey, his boys saw the ocean for the first time. That was many years ago. Later in life when my mother passed, I remember Uncle Doug being so kind to me and helping me get through the loss. We continued our communication for many years when he would share our family ancestry in Scotland with me. I did miss our contact and wish the family well. God Bless. Peggy Loder

Hello Nicol Family, I just learned of Uncle Doug's passing. I wish I had known at the time as he and I corresponded via mail when I was first married. He wrote about the research he was doing on the family. I would love to have a copy of his hard work if possible. He was a kind gentleman and has been missed by me in losing contact. Fondly, Peggy Loder 8 Town Forest Rd. Merrimac, Ma. 01860 (978) 384-8226

I am grateful for the life of Mr. Nicol. Thanks to his service and to the service of others in our armed forces, my family and I have been able to lead our lives in freedom and peace.
